Amira Clemens – CEO & President

Dr. Amira Clemens is a practicing nurse, educator, researcher, and author with a lifelong passion for healthcare and community empowerment. She founded The Cultural Institute of Health and Education (CIHE) with a mission to break down barriers to education and provide free vocational training for those aspiring to enter the healthcare field.

A Journey of Determination & Impact

Dr. Clemens’ journey—from earning her first nursing degree at Community College of Philadelphia to receiving her bachelor’s, master’s at Thomas Jefferson, and PhD from Drexel University—reflects her deep commitment to education, mentorship, and community development.

Her research interests focus on mental health and homelessness among Black youth aging out of foster care, a passion that earned her the CNHP Dean’s PhD Student Research Award.

“I dreamed of giving back to my community by providing career pathways in healthcare—just as I was given opportunities to advance my own education. CIHE exists to help others start their journey in healthcare, gain financial independence, and ultimately change their lives.”
